🍃🍂 Fall Events Calendar 🍃🍂

HELLO FALL! 

Bring on the cozy sweaters, candles,  and all things pumpkin spice!  It’s a great time to enjoy the cooler weather and check out the fun things going on! We’ve put together a list of Fall activities in and around Moore County that we really think you’ll love. 

What items do you have on your Fall Bucket List? Corn Maze? Hayrides? Pumpkin Carving? Apple picking? Read on to plan your families seasonal activities. 

SEPTEMBER

  • Apple Picking at Blueberry Thrill Farm- Gibsonville. August-mid October. Enjoy the farms many varieties of apples for picking. Pick a peck for $15 or a half peck for $8.
  • AppleFest 2018. All weekends in September. Celebrate September with all things apple. Admissions includes orchard hayrides, cider pressing demos, apple bobbing, apple pie eating contest, live Music, storytime with Johnny Appleseed, apple blast competition, All About Apples class and more.  Kids 2 & under: Free.   • Malcolm Blue Festival-Aberdeen. Sept. 22. Watch blacksmiths, wood carvers, cloggers and storytellers at work. Pet the farm animals, mine gems, ride a pony and in a horse-drawn wagon. Sample fair food and beer. Admission is $5 per person, $20 max per family. Kids under 5 are free. 
  • International Folk Festival- Downtown Fayetteville. September 28-30 . Everybody’s favorite trip around the world…for free!  This year enjoy an international street dance, Parade of Nations, live performances, authentic cuisine, arts and crafts, vendors and American Indian Showcase.  (910) 323-1776 .   • Traditional Fall Fun: All Weekends, Sept. 28-Oct. 31-Eagle Springs. Kalawi Farms offers corn mazes and hayrides, as well as a giant barrel slide built into a hill. A “blob” jump pillow has recently been added to the kids’ area. Prices vary per activity.


OCTOBER

  • Cameron Antique Fair-Cameron. October 6. More than 250 dealers display their antiques and collectibles in their village shops and along streets in the Historic District of Cameron. Also includes many food vendors.  9am-5pm. Free.  
  • Autumnfest-Downtown Southern Pines. October 6. Enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, kid activities, great food and more. 
  • Fall Farm Day-West End. October 7.   Visit Paradox Farm to cuddle baby goats, and enjoy great food, and fun.  1-4. Free, but parking is $5 per car. Click here for more info. 
  • Pumpkin Beer Dinner at The Sly Fox-Southern Pines. October 11. No better way to get ready for fall than the Pumpkin Beer Dinner at The Fox! Enjoy a 4-course dinner paired with Pumpkin Beers. Please call for reservations. Seating is limited.
  • 26th Aberdeen Sardine Festival-Aberdeen Lake. October 12. Check out this unique festival and watch the Sardine Queen be crowned, a parade, and a menu featuring sardines and moon pies. (910)323-1934 . 
  • Southern Pines Brewing 3rd Anniversary Celebration-Southern Pines. October 14. Come visit Southern Pines Brewing Company to help them celebrate their 3rd Anniversary! The celebration is packed with activities throughout the day. There will be a large outdoor stage, multiple food trucks on site, a bouncy house for kids, and the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS show car will be on site.
  • John Blue Cotton Festival-Laurinburg. October 13-14. Celebration of rural heritage with music, arts and crafts, antique tractors and engines, hayrides and childrens games. Click here for more info. 
  • Dogwood Festival-Fayettteville.  October 20. Head to Festival Park for a day full of family fun featuring entertainment, food trucks & craft beer festivals, street vendors, kids area, hayrides and historic hauntings. Noon-10pm. Click here for more info. 
  • Hope Mills Ole Mill Days-Hope Mills. October 27. Celebrate the towns mill heritage with music, crafts, food, haunted house, children’s rides, and more. 
  • Village of Pinehurst Oktoberfest-Pinehurst. October 28. Start with Kinderfest, a fun festival for children featuring carnival games, entertainment, and contests. In the evening enjoy traditional Oktoberfest featuring German music from the Holzhackern Tyrolean band, folk dancing, the second annual Pumpkin-Apple Baking Contest, and an Oktoberfest Games Arena. Brats, sauerkraut, pretzels, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, soda, beer and wine will be available.
